Change Failure Rate with Shift-Left QA and automated testing
Context
The Risk Adjustment App is a risk adjustment application for the healthcare sector, built on AWS with microservices. I led the Front End team from Capgemini, in parallel with other projects.
Responsibilities
- Architecture and development of scalable, maintainable React components.
- Architecture decisions, technical design reviews and system design proposals.
- Performance optimization, plus finding and fixing defects.
- Ongoing communication with the client, the team and managers.
Outcomes
- Stable releases: I put a Shift-Left QA strategy in place with automated unit and integration tests. The Change Failure Rate dropped by 40% and the release cadence stabilized.
- AI for diagnostic support: I built a diagnostic assistant based on custom-trained machine learning models. It reinforced medical conclusions and flagged anomalies at an early stage. The client keeps the performance metrics.
- Team skill level: through code reviews and technical coaching for 4 engineers, the team grew in seniority and raised its code quality standards.
